This past Saturday, Litner + Deganian was ecstatic to be a sponsor of the Rescue Dog Olympics. The event, hosted at Brook Run Park, was an exciting day filled with adorable dogs of every breed and size, puppy kisses and some fast-paced Olympic games. Hailing from Walton County, Georgia, Arman is a rare native Georgian here in Atlanta.
After earning “double dawg” status by completing his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia, Arman initially worked for a local judge. He then took a job with a large local law firm. His practice focused on defending insurance companies against claims made by injured persons. The job was driven by numbers and adjustors, and, after eight years defending lawsuits and trying jury trials, Arman decided to switch sides and start working for the little guy as opposed to the large corporation.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
For most people, the answer changes quite a bit and becomes more realistic as they get older (though how cool would it be to be a Super Hero?).
For Steve Litner, the answer has always been the same. A lawyer.
As one of the best personal injury lawyers in Georgia, Steve not only became a lawyer, but a pretty darn good one at that.

Shea Schulman has joined our firm as an Associate Attorney. We first had the opportunity to work with Shea on a number of court cases while he was working as a successful personal injury attorney at a larger firm. This is where Shea got to see the close personal relationships that we build with every Litner + Deganian client – a level of attention and trust that’s a core part of our business. Shea shares our vision, so he joined the firm!
As some of you may know, the State Judicial Qualifications Committee has been under fire recently in Georgia. Representative Johnnie Caldwell has spearheaded an attempt to dismantle the judicial watchdog agency. The ballot in the November election will include a proposed constitutional amendment to rid the State of the JQC. If the ballot passes, the independent agency would be removed from the constitution and replaced with one that answers directly to the state legislature. The JQC is a constitutionally mandated agency that polices the judicial branch in Georgia. The JQC has by no means been perfect. In fact, many of us have had qualms with the speed (or lack thereof) that they have addressed serious potential instances of judicial misconduct in the past. However, the motivation behind the November ballot appears to be nothing but political and potentially retributive in nature. Read more here.
