Team Spotlight: Josephine Threat

Josephine Threat is a Litigation Paralegal with Litner + Deganian. On a day-to-day basis she works with the attorneys and other law firm employees to draft pleadings, file documents with the court, and organize exhibits and other important case materials.

Originally from Dothan, Alabama, Josephine developed an interest in personal injury law after being involved in an accident herself. She wasn’t sure what to do, or who could help. Once she recovered from that experience, she set her sights on a career of helping others in the same situation. Josephine earned her bachelor’s degree in justice and public safety with a minor in legal studies from Auburn University. She worked as a paralegal for several large law practices and for the State of Georgia before joining the firm.

Josephine has been with Litner & Deganian since 2018. She enjoys the firm’s open-door policy and the relaxed atmosphere. She says that everyone is treated like family and the team is engaged and enthusiastic about their work.

Outside of the office, Josephine is all about style and fashion. She is a style consultant, who has worked for a number of local fashion magazines as a creative director and an assistant wardrobe stylist. She also works with everyday professionals who are looking for special pieces and outfits to add a little wow to their wardrobe.
