Originally from Panama and raised in New York, Kisha Dunnah moved to Georgia with her parents while she was in high school. Georgia presented the opportunity to be closer to family—and the warmer weather was also a plus compared to New York.
Kisha joined Litner + Deganian in 2016 as a case manager and recently earned a promotion to litigation paralegal. She almost steered away from the legal field, though. In college at the University of West Georgia, she aspired to become a lawyer, so she lined up an internship. “That summer I spent as a file clerk at a law firm was one of the most boring of my life!” she says. Luckily, Kisha found her way back to a career in law after a stint in banking and finance. “I always knew I wanted to help people, and this is a way for me to fulfill that dream.”
Before joining our team, she had worked as a case manager at two larger firms. Our smaller, family-like atmosphere is a nice change of pace. “The people here are what make Litner + Deganian so different from other firms,” she says. “The partners, Steve and Arman, are the most caring people. They’re passionate about helping their clients and getting the best results for them.”
Outside the office, she enjoys reading, being active with her church, and spending lots of time with family. She especially loves spending time with her 8-year-old daughter. Whether she’s watching her practice taekwondo or going to the park or the aquarium together, they always have a blast!
